Advocating for and Working with Patients with Disabilities in Family Medicine

Come learn from Family Medicine resident Dr. Alicia Thatcher who has a special interest in working with people with disabilities! Dr. Thatcher will outline her experiences as a family medicine resident, how she is able to advocate for people with disabilities, and what we can do as future healthcare professionals to be successful advocates. Dr. Thatcher will also include self-advocates in her talk to discuss their own experiences and challenges with the healthcare system and day-to-day life.
