The Clinical Skills Bootcamp is a multi-day event aimed at providing a safe space for pre-clerkship students to practice clinical skills to help develop competencies prior to OSCE examinations and prior to beginning the clerkship level of learning. This event is organized by a small group of individuals that bring the collective of different specialty student interest groups together to explore the necessary skills required to be effective learners in the clerkship experience and beyond into residency and practice. Some of the skills involved will be some of the only times students are taught them and may be the only time students have the chance to practice them. The ultimate goal of the Clinical Skills Bootcamp is to help learners achieve confidence and competence in those clinical skills as they progress in their medical school education and practice.
