Community Conversations on Poverty: Lessons learned during COVID-19

October 2, 2020 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

Fall Health Equity Series Launch:

Date: October 2nd, 2020

Time: 12:30pm – 1:30pm

Join the Saskatoon Poverty Reduction Partnership (SPRP) and the College of Medicine’s Division of Social Accountability on October 2nd for the series launch of Community Conversations on Poverty: Lessons Learned during COVID-19, where we will discuss lessons learned from the Saskatoon Inter-Agency Response to COVID-19 and the connections to 12 Bold Ideas to Eliminate Poverty.

SPRP launched 12 Bold Ideas in February 2019, which applies an equity and human-rights based approach, and 12 intersectoral and interconnected ideas that if implemented could support Saskatoon to become one of the most equitable cities in Canada. Come listen, learn and reflect on the experience of the COVID-19 vulnerable sector response in challenging and disrupting systemic barriers and the call to make change in systems – creation, modification, policy and practices – to have the biggest impact towards eliminating poverty in Saskatoon.
