Difficult Decisions at the End of Life: From Discontinuation of Active Interventions to Medical Assistance in Dying

October 10, 2018 @ 12:30 pm - 1:30 pm

- Free

Dr. Lilian Thorpe is a geriatric psychiatrist and MAiD provider here in Saskatchewan. She will speak to the legalities surrounding MAiD and the important discussions between patients and their care providers in the decision to transition from active intervention to MAiD. Choosing and providing MAiD is the centre of several ethical and legal debates and so it is essential that we, as future physicians, are well-educated on this key topic. Lunch will be provided!
