SIMS Simulation Night

Join the SIMS group for a fun night of high fidelity simulation at the CLRC. Details will be on facebook or contact Sam Savard.

GI Simulation

First year students will get a chance to use the skills they learned in their GI module in a high fidelity simulation at the CLRC! The fantastic and thorough Dr. Michael Voralia will be running this simulation for us. The cases used will be well adapted for first years as we know this may be your first experience in the sim lab.

We will be asking students to sign-up in groups of 4 and you will be provided with a time slot the night of the event. Stay tuned for the signup link it will be posted on facebook closer to the event.

This event is brought to you by the SIMS group.

Neuro Simulation

Second year students will get a chance to use the skills they learned in their neurosciences module in a high fidelity simulation at the CLRC! Our friendly neighbourhood neurologists Dr. Brett Graham, Dr. Katherine Archibold, and Dr. Rochelle Savard have been kind enough to run this simulation for us. This great team has been running simulations for neurology residents for quite some time and have adapted their cases to be well suited for second year students.

We will be asking students to sign-up in groups of 4 and you will be provided with a time slot the night of the event. Stay tuned for the signup link it will be posted on facebook closer to the event.

Case Simulation Night

Students in groups of 3 will get to work through 4 different cases at the CLRC. Each station will have different clinical skills incorporated into the case (suturing, fundoscopy, ultrasound, and history taking and physical exam skills. We will making use of high fidelity mannequins and automated fundoscopy equipment.
